Grandpa's Farm in Texas

My dad has a saying when he sees his grandkids. He likes to say " I wouldn't trade you for a farm in Texas." I always laugh when he says it because to me I've personally seen the big deer farms in Texas so I know that's a big deal! Can you tell Greg has influenced my ability to think about things without realating them to deer? Of well, these two have their grandpa wrapped around their fingers already!

Laura's Learning

Laura is really starting to become her own little person. She loves to giggle and smile at people (especially her dad and brother). She rolls over no problem whenever she wants to, and she loves her exercise bouncer. She has become quite the talker too. She must understand Luke's Japanese language because she joins right in with him. They ping pong back and forth. I'm not quick enough to get it on tape yet (sorry).

Watch out dad, this little girl might become a grandpa's girl!

Luke's Laugh

Luke's favorite time - bath time!

I really would like to think he wrote the word "me" here
Luke's laugh has become contagious. It doesn't matter where he's at in the house we laugh. I don't know what it is, but he makes me laugh most of the day. Then when Greg comes home he's laughing too. I've noticed that it's happening to Laura too. Luke will start to laugh around her, and she begins to giggle. He's a character.

Luke finally gets to play outside!

Daddy's Little Girl

Greg has finally started warming up to Miss Laura Marie. She loves to sit by him. When she is sitting by him she will just sit and stare at him until he looks at her. Then when he finally looks at her, she flashes him a big smile and a giggle. She's going to have him wrapped around her long, skinny little finger before you know it.

I laughed at this picture because they were both watching a hunting program, and totally ignoring me while doing it.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! We were lucky today Greg was post call and didn't have to go in so we got a whole family day together. It was great!

Laura's 4 Month Check-Up

Laura with her special blanket that grandma made.

Laura passed her 4 month check-up with flying colors. My mom came up to help me with Luke while Laura went to visit the doc. She was so great for him. She was laughing and giggling until the nurse came in to do the dirty work. Laura drank her first shot, and all was good. Then she got the needle in each leg, and she was not happy. After I picked her up she was all good again. Once I dressed her, we started walking out to the receptionist where I found her laughing. She thanked me for the entertainment. I looked out into the waiting room and Luke was putting on a great performance. He was having so much fun.
Her 4 month stats:
Height = 24.6 in
Weight = 13 lbs

Luke enjoyed his day with grandma!

Week Vacation in Fulton

This past week Luke, Laura, myself, and Otis all got to take a nice vacation in Fulton MO. Greg, Boog, and my little brother all went fishing in Texas, so we packed up and went to Grandma's house. The trip was a lot of fun (eventhough Fulton got like 26 inches of snow in a 24 hour period). Luke and Laura got to spend lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa Toosley. I got to catch up on some sleep and some movies that I wanted to see. I had forgotten how nice it is to watch a whole episode of the Bachelor or American Idol without asking someone what did I miss while I'm feeding, bathing, or changing one of them. I got to actually sit down and watch the show in silence. It was so nice. My mom and dad (and Whitney) all got time away from work due to the weather so we sat around and enjoyed our time with everyone. My mom (the craft guru that she is) made some blankets, taggies, and pillows for the kids with their favorite cartoon characters on them. Whitney and I baked alot of food, and my dad hooked us all on the Lifetime channel movies. It was a great time, but it is nice to be home with my hubby now.
