Halloween Weekend 2010

This year for Halloween we had Elmo and a ladybug. It wasn't a very exciting holiday for us because we didn't go anywhere. Greg really wanted to get into the woods to hunt, so we didn't take the kids to Fulton to see Grandma and Grandpa Toosley. They understood why we didn't come, but I know that they were disappointed. We did make it over to see Grandma and Grandpa Ross. That was our only Halloween stop. We didn't take them trick-or-treating because we really thought that they were just to small still. Luke wouldn't go up to the doors, and he can't say trick-or-treat either. We did go to a great bonfire and hayride at the Branson's on Saturday. Luke absolutely had a blast. He ran around with kids for a straight hour. He was so excited to see his cousin Carson. He was asleep before we even pulled out of the parking space.

Doctor Visits

Luke had to go back to the doc's office because last time he was to sick to recieve his shots. Well, yesterday was a different story (all though Luke probably wished he were sick). Everythign was fine. My mom came up to manage Laura while I went in with Luke. She really didn't want to be the bad guy and take him in while he got his shots (understandable). I still haven't mustered up the strength to fight back the tears as he looks at me and screams. I swear if he asks for something at that very moment, I would probably go out and buy it for him.
Here are his stats: 75% tile in head circumference
80% tile in weight
90% tile in height
I'm hoping that maybe the height percentile will mean that he'll be a 7 footer some day!

Laura's stats from her first appointment were good too. She was 25% tile in head circumference, 75% tile in height, and 25% tile in weight. She looks like she's going to be the petite one of the bunch. I'm interested in seeing how much she's change at her next visit.

Long Time No Blog

Well, with these two kids running around I haven't really made time for my blog (thanks mom for letting me know). I guess I should put some new pics on here of the kids. Not much has been going on. We did have a great time this weekend in Fulton with the family. The MIZZOU win was fantastic, and Greg's oral boards are no finally taken and over. Maybe now things can go back to normal. Oh wait, never mind, it's deer season!

Now a Family of 4!

Well, the wait is over to meet the new Ross baby. It was a long time coming, but she's here! Laura Marie Ross came a little earlier than expected, but is here. She was born on October 4, 2010 at 11:42 pm. She weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. To me she looks absolutely perfect. We were all doing fine, until we got home. It seemed that little Luke was starting to not feel so well on Tuesday. By Wednesday he was very sick. I took him to the doctors on Thursday and it seems that he has some sort of form of foot and mouth. He's running a fever and it's miserable (for everyone). I guess this is the part of being a mother that is dreaded. I can't do anything to help him. The really bad part is that he is contagious so I have to keep him away from Laura, and try to make sure I don't get sick myself. What a welcome home, huh! Greg was on call Thursday too. Venturing out with two is a lot different than with one. I'm glad my mom stuck around to help out because I'm not sure I could do this one without help.
