All About Abby

Enjoying my stroller time outside

Sitting with my PawPaw

Napping while my bubby and sissy are playing!

I seem to post more about Luke and Laura. I guess because they are more active right now than Abby. But I do get a lot of Abby pictures when I can. So here's a post just about Abby.

Dirt tasting Day

While Luke plays in the sprinkler, Laura likes the sand/water table. The only problem is that she likes to take taste tests of the water and sand. Most of the time it's mud, but she doesn't seem to mind. Luke looks at her like she's insane, and Abby stares at her like she's from another world. Laura really doesn't care though.

Laura is starting early with her golf skills!

Grammy and the tent

This was my best attempt at videoing Grammy getting her old bones into the kid tent with Luke and Laura. I was not expecting Laura to pop out, and show off her swimsuit!

Luke & Laura's Sprinkler Day

This was Luke at our house in the sprinkler.

Luke taking a break to eat his cake. Otis patiently waited for leftovers

Luke was a HUGE fan of the sprinkler (eventhough he told me it was cold)

Greg was on call Thursday, so we went to Fulton to spend the day playing at Grammy's and PawPaw's house. This is like Disneyland for the kids. Probably because my mom and dad spoil them rotten. I think they own one of each toy from Toys R Us, and the snacks are always unlimited. I guess that's what grandparents do. Luke always looks forward to the four wheeler rides, and feeding PawPaw's fish. Since the weather was so nice, the kids spent the entire day outside playing. Grammy even made them a picnic lunch outside. Luke didn't want to be to far away from the sprinkler. Laura just enjoys running around. She colors all of Grammy's sidewalks with her chalk, and relocates all her mulch and rocks to anywhere where it's not intended. She enjoyed playing in Uncle Dan's old tent, and Grammy's water lagoon. The endless amount of popsicles topped her charts too.

Laura wasn't a big fan of the sprinkler. She would rather stay by paw paws porch!

Laura has to have her minnie with her at all times.

Luke's Rock-a-bye baby attempt

Luke has really been working hard on his skills. He has "school time" everyday. He sits down on his computer and does his lessons on abcmouse.com. I get to personalize his lessons based on his age, and I absoultely love it. It combines math, science, socail studies, art, music, reading, and writing. It's wonderful for his development. The best part is he gets tickets for his accomplishments which he can spend at the school store. This was him today singing with Rock a Bye baby. He did a better job the next time around, but the camera wasn't close by.

Laura's Windowsill World

This is Laura's window world. Whenever I open up the windows, Laura immediately starts putting her toys on display. I had to laugh this morning after I found  her running from room to room

Fashon Show with Abby

I have so much fun dressing up the girls, and doing their hair (who would of thought huh). My little diva Laura prefers her red ruby slippers (with sparkles), pants, shirt (which of course don't match), Minnie Mouse purse with sunglasses,  and a cute hat or bow. This won't stay on long though because she immediately finds a mudhole somewhere. Abby just puts on whatever and laughs the whole time. I'm wondering if either one of them will be a "girly girl" or if they turn out more like me.

Lovin the Lake

I think the best purchase we've made would have tobe the lake house. Even though the kids are young, they love being there. I think their favorite thing to do is run around on the dock and throw rocks into the lake. Luke likes to go fast in the boats, and Laura enjoys watching the water. Right now Abby doesn't care, but she likes to ride on the boat. It's fun to watch Greg and Luke together fishing. Luke likes to touch the big fish!

Piggy Poo Laura

Crazy hair Laura!

Laura Lou Lou is such a mess. She is the messiest little girl on the face of the earth. I now strip her down to a diaper when she eats because I was using a bottle of shout a day just on her! I thought this was a super cute outfit that my mom had found for her, and since it was cooler in the morning when we went out, I put it on her. After two hours of playing outside, the pants went from kahki to grass green combined withe dirt streaks, and the sweater was covered with sand. Needless to say she took a nap in just her diaper. She's such a mess.

My cute outfit before I went outside

Outside Time

The weather was nice again today. So we had to go outside for some playtime/ yard work time. It's nice the pick up sticks, and don't even mind. Luke and Laura practiced their ABC's with their sidewalk chalk om the driveway.

Sweet Abby

She really likes her bath time!
I don't want to jinx myself, but Abby is a wonderful baby. She goes with the flow, and always has a big smile for her mommy. She has the best little personality, which is coming out more and more each day. She is starting to laugh at me when I kiss her cheeks, and she talks to me when I change her diapers. She doesn't always get my full attention with the other two daredevils that I have, but she's OK with it. She will wait for me, and when she does she gets 100% of me. I love this little girl!

The IT man at work

Luke really enjoys his computer time. I call it school time (I guess that's the teacher in me). Luke sits down everyday (I give him 30 minutes a day). Then I have to tell him that the computer needs a break. I put him on a web site www.abcmouse.com. It's great. I set his controls on what he can and can't do, and his skill levels. Right now he's mastering the toddler skills (ABC's, colors, numbers, etc.). He listens to books too. I think it is more helpful than I am (it has way more patience than I do too). Then when he's lessons for the day are over, he receives tickets that he can spend. I think I have just as much fun watching him learn then he has playing.

Luke's Soccer Skills

Luke and I have been practicing his soccer skills. We have really combined soccer, golf, football, and basketball all into one sport. It's amazing to watch, but Laura makes sure she stays out of the way. I just happen to get the tail end of the game in this video. Maybe next time I'll get the whole thing.

Springtime Weather

Laura was helping Mommy pick up the outside Easter decorations

Luke and Laura were very busy making mud castles
We are loving this springtime weather. This week has been a little cooler than last, but it is only April. I guess we got used to extra warm weather, and now we are wearing pants instead of shorts. Anyway, we still get to go outside and play. We did look a little funny walking. Luke and Laura were eating their ice cream cones from the Market, and I was drinking a hot chocolate.

Luke really likes throwing the muddy sand at his sister!

Abby was content in her swing watching cartoons

Easter 2012

Luke and Laura asking daddy for another ride

Abby waiting to see the Easter Bunny

Poor Otis after everything was over

Luke's sand/water box

Laura's BBQ grill (who knew the accessories didn't come with it)

This Easter the Easter Bunny was so very nice to the Ross kids. Laura got a Little Tykes BBQ grill (just like her daddy). Now she can cook her hamburgers and hotdogs when dad does, and not get in trouble for getting to close to the hot grill. Luke got a combo water/sand box. Really it's all mud now (I really should have saw that one coming). Abby got some formula and a bottle (what else does a newborn get). Then we went to Gma and Gpa Ross's house for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. Luke and Laura were so funny to watch. Little Laura realized real quick that their were treats in the eggs. So she sat down by each one she found and ate all the jellybeans that were inside them. Luke figured it out too. However, when we told him to find as many as he could, then he tried a little bit harder. It was a good time by all (until dad got called into work).

Birthday at the Lake Weekend

This was Luke on the way home (after finishing his Happy Meal)

This was Laura's reaction after Scott took her purple crayon!

Abby had way to much fun
Well, I had yet another birthday come and go. I think after 30 you start to lose track of those little celebrations, but I did have a lot of fun this year. Gma came over to take over kid detail so Greg and I could go out for adult time (which was funny because we were both yawning at about 9:00). Yes, we are parents and old. The Friday we went up to Fulton and then onto the LAKE! We have so much fun just getting away. This time my family came up to help break the place in. It was a good time until Laura jumped in the lake. Thank god I had her life jacket on. To answer the question who jumped in after her, that would be ME (and yes the water was ass cold). I would like to think that she learned a valuable lesson, but no she wanted right back in. Luke on the other hand thought it was funny to see mommy panic and jump in the water. However, he was wise about the water. He stuck his foot in and said "To cold Mom, lets fish dad!" Thanks Luke. I think Luke's favorite part of the lake is fishing with his dad and of course McDonalds.
