Greg just looks at me and smiles as Luke chatters away. Occasionally I'll get a "What'd he say?". I can't believe it my own son (who I devote all my time to) has sold me down the river. Unbelievable.

What Did He Say?
I have been working so hard with Luke to say Mom, but the only thing that comes out of his mouth is .... well listen for yourself. Sorry it's a little short.

My First Westminster Game
On Saturday, Luke was still sick. He was in a good mood though. So Greg and I decided to go to a basketball game. Luke's soon-to-be aunt Whitney was playing at Webster. My mom and dad dropped by to see us beforehand, and then we all went to the game. It was fun to watch Luke (who was way more interested watching the fans cheer). Whitney had a huge cheering section, but I guess we didn't cheer enough because the Bluejays lost to Webster. We stayed and watched the men play for awhile. I listened to Greg talk about how he could still break down the players (Peter Pan will never grow up). I told him that Luke could be playing on that floor someday, but Greg said "NO way" Luke was going to go to Stanford to play golf. In the end though, we got the Gorlocks back. Luke left a little present for everyone in the stands to smell as we left. Then we discarded the diaper in the trash. Take that Gorlocks!
Luke had a Westminster shirt on to match my dad.

Being Sick is NO Fun!
The past few days have not been that fun at the Ross household. Luke has come down with his first cold. It's not to bad, but the poor guy is miserable. He is taking motrine for his fever, and plenty of fluids too. He is being a trooper. He gives us that famous smile of his at times. The worst part of the day comes at night. He's not sleeping for more than a couple hours at a time. I get up and rock him and rub his back. He slowly goes back to sleep. Me on the other hand, I don't get to really go back to sleep. It seems like as soon as I lay down and start to nod off, he cries. I can't wait for him to feel better. I would much rather take his place if Icould, I hate seeing him like this.

Waiting for Bathtime
Luke is a lot like his father in the fact that he absolutely loves his tub time. So tonight he was patiently waiting to take his bath. He was lounging around in his bathrobe until someone got his bath water ready for him. Getting it all ready is the easy part. The hard part is getting him out!
Luke waiting patiently with his dad.
Happy as a clam, and squeaky clean after!

Scared Silly
Luke was playing in his jumper, when I came by with the camera. He gave me this look like why are you bothering me lady! I think this is his I did something, but I don't want you to find out look.

PJ Day
Luke loves playing in his PJs. So yesterday I let him stay in them a little longer than usual. He seem to be enjoying himself with his freind Ralph. This was fine with me because while he played I got a few things accomplished.
Then it was time to play on his zebra. The only problem with the zebra is that I have to hold him steady on it. I'm not sure I really like that toy. He was watching a cartoon while I took this.

Eating like a big boy
Luke now sits in his high chair to eat. I was trying to feed him his carrots, squash, etc. while playing in his jumper, but that DID NOT work. I seemed to get more in his hair, clothes, face, carpet, etc. than in his mouth. Luke found it to be a game too. So now we eat in the highchair seat. He seems to like it here. He does prefer to use the spoon by himself.

What is he saying?
Luke is really the chatterbox. Now if I'm not listening to him, he has decided to talk to anything that is near him. It's really quite funny to watch. He will occasionally look to me to see if I can hear him (I'll noticed him peeking around things to find me). Then if he feels I need to hear what he has to say he'll get louder and louder. Today he was more focused on the camera than talking to his animals.

My Little Party Animal
Luke has really become the social bug during the holidays. His daily routine was like clockwork(or so I thought). He's never been much of a day napper, but he ALWAYS goes to sleep by 8:30 and sleeps all night. However, during the holiday season, he doesn't want to miss out on any of the excitement so he doesn't want to sleep. He rang the New Year in with his Grandma and Grandpa Ross, and really didn't want to go to sleep after the festivities. The he decided he didn't want to sleep for me during the Annual Ross Doe Harveston Jan. 2nd. He stayed up until around 12:30 watching and laughing at all the people. Finally, last night he must have figured out that the party life was not all it was cracked up to be because he took he bath, and then around 8:30 we read some books and drank some sleepy time tea. Then before I knew it he was out, and I didn't hear from him until the next morning! I hope he's back to normal.
