Peek-A-Boo I See You!

Luke loves to play Peek-a-boo. He sits and laughs whenever you play with him. It gets to the point where you get so sick of it, you have to bribe him into doing ANYTHING else. Now, whenever we go to get him out of his crib in the mornings or after his nap. This is what we see. We sit and laugh, and the peek-a-boo game begins.

Rain Rain Go Away!

We haven't been able to do much these past few days due to the weather. So it has been lazy days here at the Ross house. Greg was on vacation last week when Boog was in, and the weather was nice. That was a fun week for everyone. Now, the weather is bad and Greg went back to work. We don't have anyone to play with. It was nice having someone here during the day. Luke is still trying to crawl, but not really going anywhere. I guess we'll keep trying!

To Crawl of Not to Crawl

I have really been worried that Luke is NEVER going to crawl. He really doesn't seem to care about it at all. If he really wants to get somewhere, he will barrell roll to whatever it is he wants. Then he'll just sit and wait until someone comes and gets him. Then someone also told me that walking around all the time in his walker isn't the best for his crawling either. Do scientists really have that much time on thier hands to study kids in walkers? Anyway, Luke has been making great strides in his attempts to crawl lately. Now, he gets up on all fours. Then, he'll kind of bob and weave. Next, he drops to his stomach. Finally, he scoots backwards. I guess it's a start. At least he's moving (maybe not in the right direction), but he's moving!

He also enjoys playing in his room now. The sad part is he doesn't really need me there to play with him. He will sit and listen to his music and just play. I sit outside his room and watch balls, rings, and puzzle pieces flying into the hallway. He enjoys it though.

Ut-Oh Dada

Luke and I had a great week relaxing in Fulton with my family while Greg went to his conference/ fishing expedition at the Lake of the Ozarks. Luke's new thing to do now is say "Ut-Oh" whenever he drops something on the floor (or throws it on purpose). He looks up at whoever will look at him and say "Ut-Oh". Today I couldn't help but laugh at the poor guy. He got up and we played a little, then he decided that he wanted to drive his jeep around. So I watched him drive into every room in the upstairs of our house. When he got into the room he kind of searched. Then I heard him repeat "Dada" in every room he went to. He just knew that Greg was around somewhere, and he was bound to find him eventually. Finally, when he got back to me he looked at me with a sad kind of look and said "Ut-Oh Dada". I've never heard him say two words together (if you call those words). He was so disappointed when he couldn't find Greg. That only lasted for like a few seconds because I got out his talking puppy and things were all better again.

He had to give his surprised " face to the camera. What a ham!

Happy Easter!

Luke's first Easter (so far) has been fun. He tore through his basket from the Easter Bunny. We made the mistake of getting him golf clubs. Needless to say no one is safe anymore from the whacker boy. Later, it's on to the families for Easter lunch (we won't be taking the clubs with us).

He's wearing his big boy shirt from his Uncle Scott. Thank goodness for that because I could not find any cute clothes for boys. Do they not think that boys dress up for Easter too!
