Greg's dream of raising a fishing partner is starting to come true. If only he could fit into a life jacket.

Luke's "O" so surprised face
Luke has acquired a new facial expression which he uses now all the time. Everything is such a big surprise to him (even though he's seen it thousands of times before). One example is his favorite book. He will sit in his jeep and look through each page. As he turns the pages he looks up with this surprised look on his face like he had never seen that before. I sit and laugh (which probably makes it worse). Greg likes to call it Luke's monkey face. He also makes noises when he does it so it does make him sound like a little monkey.
He was also excited to see his cousin Carson. The two haven't gotten to interact much because Luke has been to small, but now the two of them are funny together. Luke was following Carson's every move. He thought he was the coolest person. Then Carson would come love on him, and mimic Luke (which made him laugh). I have a feeling the two of them will be like peas and carrots someday.

My First Trip to Indiana
Luke had never had the opportunity to visit my family who all lives in northern Indiana. So my mom and I decided to take him for a few days. He was the best little guy on the trip. He watched cartoons and played in his seat the whole time (unless we had to stop to feed him). When we got there Luke was a little shy, but he warmed up to everyone quickly. He seemed to like my uncles the most. I think it's because they have facial hair and are bigger like his grandpas. Everyone loved him, and couldn't believe how much he looked like Greg (except for his forehead which is clearly my fathers). At the end of the trip it was hard for my grandma to let him go, but I promised to visit again.

Sunny Days
Yes I have been watching way to much Sesame Street, but the title has nothing to do with it. These past few days have been so nice out that I took Otis and Luke out for some outdoor playtime. I took out Luke's jeep onto our front driveway. I wasn't sure how he would react to being outside because he hasn't really gotten to do this yet. Well, he took off like a pro. He ran that jeep around for a hour. He laughed and giggled the whole time. I can already tell that summertime is going to be a blast.
Sorry, this was after his nap (he ran himself silly). We were having so much fun outside that I didn't take my camera with me. Then once we were already outside I couldn't leave him out and run in to get the camera. So hopefully I'll get a quick video tomorrow.
It's amazing how much he looks like Greg more and more. Where did my genes go?

The Oatmeal Mess
Luke loves a good bowl of oatmeal and bananas in the morning. He will lick the bowl if I let him (which I don't). The only problem is the mess that he makes when he eats. I swear he gets it all over his face just so he can save it for later.
He has also taking a liking to his old pacifier that he came home with from the hospital. I find him chewing on it when I go to get him in the mornings, and he doesn't let go of it all day. He keeps it stored in his seat in his jeep along with his snail. That way he can always conveniently find it.
